Vitaly Kantorovich, M.D.

Vitaly Kantorovich, M.D., is an endocrinologist in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism and the Center for Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Diseases in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).

He is also the medical director of the UAMS Weight Control Program and an assistant professor of medicine in the UAMS College of Medicine.

Dr. Kantorovich received his medical degree at Vilnius State University School of Medicine in Lithuania. He completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the Rabin Medical Center, University of Tel-Aviv School of Medicine in Israel. He completed a second residency in internal medicine at the Rochester General Hospital in New York and a clinical fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. He also completed a research fellowship in metabolic bone diseases at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center/UCLA in Los Angeles.

Dr. Kantorovich is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is a member of the Endocrine Society, American Society for Bone and Mineral Research and the North American Association for Study of Obesity.

His clinical and research interests include vitamin D and bone metabolism, metabolic and bone disorders related to obesity and weight loss, multiple endocrine neoplasia, pituitary and adrenal diseases.

Betsy Day

Betsy Day received her undergraduate degree in political science in 1992 from the University of Colorado in Boulder.  In 1996, she retuned to college at the University of Central Arkansas and in 2005 received her bachelor’s of science degree in clinical nutrition.  She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in nutrition with the goal to become a registered dietician. Betsy has been married for 11 years to Bryan Day, who is the Assistant City Manager for the City of Little Rock.  Betsy and Bryan have two children, Sierra and Spencer. Betsy enjoys running, cooking, and camping with her family.
 


Drexel Jordon, MNSc, APN, ACRN

Drexel received his initial nursing education at the Baptist System School of Nursing in 1979. Since that time he has completed a BSN, MNSc, and post masters certificate from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is board certified as a nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist by the American Nurses Credentialling Center. He currently holds an appointment as a clinical instructor in the College of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology and spends half his time in the Weight Control clinic and half his time in the Infectious Disease clinic. 

Kylie Minton, MS, RD, LD

Kylie attended the University of Central Arkansas where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in the fall of 2001. She continued her education at UCA and completed her Master of Science in Dietetics in the Fall of 2003. Kylie was accepted to the UCA Dietetic Internship in April of 2003 and completed in January of 2004. Kylie's husband Bart is a farmer in England where they reside with their two beautiful girls Olivia and Madison. She loves her Redbone Coonhounds Jake, Jesse and Roscoe. Her favorite hobby is scrapbooking pictures of her family.

Kylie is a member of the Arkansas Dietetic Association and the American Dietetic Association and is also licensed by the state of Arkansas.

Amanda Barber, M.S.Amanda Barber

Amanda completed her undergraduate in 2004 at the University Of Arkansas, Fayetteville where she received a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition.  She then attended the dietetics program at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma where she completed the internship and received her Masters of Science in Dietetics and Food Science.  Her interest include: running and participating in marathons and local racing events, spending time with family and friends, gardening and cooking. 

Amanda is a member of the Arkansas Dietetics Association and the American Dietetics Association, and is American Dietetic Association Certified in Adult Weight Management.       

Lyndsey Foster, MSAmanda Barber

Lyndsey attended the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Composite Science with an emphasis in Chemistry in the spring of 2003. She then attended the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and received her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition in the spring of 2007.  Lyndsey joined the staff at the UAMS Weight Control Program in February of 2008. Lyndsey’s dietetic interests are Health and Wellness and Sports Nutrition. In her extra time Lyndsey enjoys running, hiking, swimming, biking, and spending time with her family.
